MT Tank and the Gas Guzzlers are a Pacific Northwest cover band who have your country dancin’ bug covered. Whether you want to kick up your heals and swing around the dance floor or rub bellies to a slow groove with the one your with, this band has you covered. They run the gamut from Hank Williams Sr. to Hank III, from Merle Haggard to Jamie Johnson, from Charlie Daniels to Cross Canadian Ragweed and they do it in a way that’ll make even the most staunch wallflower want to two step till dawn.
The band came together in early 2016 when the group of friends decided they wanted to bring the music from the radio of their youth, on to the stage. They started out going full acoustic with banjo, acoustic guitar, upright bass and a very unique washboard trap set. The setup worked great and they are still known to break it out from time to time. However, once they plugged in, drummed up, and the tickling of tones on that tasty tele transpired, that is when the dancing really began.
